This Privacy Policy explains how Educational IT Solution ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the আমার বিদ্যালয় (My School BD) mobile application (package name com.myschoolbd, the "App"). The App is a school management system used by guardians, teachers, head teachers, and school administrators of government primary schools in Bangladesh.

1. Information We Collect

To provide school management features, we collect the following:

Account information: mobile phone number, name, and role (guardian, teacher, head teacher, or school administrator).
Student information (entered by guardians or school staff): student name, photo, date of birth, birth-registration number, gender, religion, class/section/roll, and academic records.
Sensitive student information: blood group, height, weight, disability status, medical conditions, and vaccination records, where provided by the guardian or school for the student's welfare.
Family and guardian information: parent/guardian names, occupation, National ID (NID) number, mobile number, and present/permanent address.
School activity data: attendance, continuous and terminal assessment marks, homework, class routines, notices, and messages.
Uploaded documents: student photo, birth certificate, parent NID, and transfer certificate, when uploaded.
Technical data: device information and notification tokens used to deliver push notifications and keep the App functioning.

2. How We Use Information

To create and manage student profiles, admissions, and promotions.
To record attendance, assessments, and generate official progress reports.
To enable communication between schools and guardians (notices, messages).
To authenticate users and secure access by role.
To send relevant notifications about school activity.

3. Information About Children

The App stores records about primary-school children. These records are entered and managed by the child's guardian or by authorized school staff acting on the school's behalf — children are not the users of the App. We use children's information solely to deliver school management services and never for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only:

With the relevant school and its authorized staff, to operate the school's records and communicate with guardians.
With service providers that help us run the App — including Google Firebase (authentication, cloud messaging, and storage) — who process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured servers with role-based access controls. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as the account or the associated school records remain active, or as needed to provide the service. On request, accounts and associated personal data can be deleted, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations.

7. Your Rights

Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, or the information of a student in their care, by contacting us at the address below.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase services. Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
